FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Franklin County officials say key services are returning to normal following the impacts of Hurricane Isaias, with roads and bridges reopened, communications systems restored and emergency operations stabilizing.

In a Saturday social media update, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office said county roads and bridges are open but urged residents to continue using caution while traveling and remain alert for any lingering storm hazards.

The sheriff's office also reported that power has been restored to its facility through generator support while crews with Duke Energy continue repairs to the main electrical service.

Officials said conditions at the Franklin County Jail remain stable, with air conditioning operating and both inmates and staff doing well.

Emergency communications have also been restored. The sheriff's office said both 911 service and its non-emergency line, 850-670-8500, are fully operational.

The update comes as communities across the Florida Panhandle continue recovery efforts after Hurricane Isaias brought strong winds, heavy rain and widespread power outages to the region.

County officials thanked residents for their patience and encouraged the public to remain vigilant as cleanup and restoration efforts continue.

"Stay safe, Franklin County," the sheriff's office said in its message.
